SERVICES

We Offer Services & Engineering know how for development of embedded systems with following focus areas

Safety & Security

Designing & Validating Safe Systems

New technologies often enable new products and services that could make life easier. At the same time, they introduce new risks that need to be addressed.

Carabiner offers engineering know-how to mitigate these risks.
We have broad experience in the management and development of functional safety and security for embedded systems. We have been involved in the development, roll out and assessment of the ISO 26262 functional safety standard as well as implementation of the IEC-61508 standard.

With backgrounds that span OEMs, suppliers, service providers, academia, and standardization bodies, we are able to approach functional safety from a holistic perspective, ensuring that every phase of the product lifecycle is covered.

We offer services within safety and security management, functional safety and security engineering, independent review and assessment, as well as hands on training on ISO 26262 for managers and development engineers

Systems Engineering

Translating Needs into Working Systems

Managing the increasing complexity of embedded systems necessitate a strong emphasis on the architecture and the design aspects of a product. The core of the problems in complex systems is introduced by human errors during the concept and the design phases.

Carabiner offers system engineering services to support our customers in balancing the different properties of a system such as intended functionality, safety, availability and sustainability under its complete life cycle.

Our systems engineers are the links that keep the different parts of a distributed development team together. Our philosophy is to devise the simplest possible solution for the most complicated problems.

We offer services within system architecture, requirement and configuration management, system integration, verification engineering and functional safety management.

Software Engineering

Designing & Building Reliable Software

Software is nowadays an integrated part of products and services that we use in our daily life, in our cars and trucks, communication systems, medical equipment and sustainable energy systems.

We have been and are involved in the transition from the old school SW coding methods to the newer model based approaches, as well as in the ongoing move from waterfall to agile development methods.

We have experience from management of SW teams developing Autosar software for continuous integration and process development.

Our engineers have hands-on experience from all stages of SW development: concept definition and prototyping of solutions, software architecture and design, software project management, verification engineering and software safety analysis.

Electromobility

Engineering Next-generation Electric Vehicle Systems

The urgent need to address global warming and reduce urban air pollution has accelerated the shift from combustion engines to sustainable transportation. Electric vehicles are now at the forefront of this transformation.

Electromobility has evolved from early hybrid vehicles with short electric ranges to today’s pure electric cars, which can travel over 400 km on a single charge. Beyond zero emissions, the technology offers significant environmental benefits as well as strong performance.

This shift is also expanding beyond cars, with a fast-growing market for trucks, buses and other types of heavy and light machinery.

Carabiner has extensive experience in the electromobility technology areas such as High Voltage Systems Design, Electric Propulsion, Personal/Electrical Safety, Battery Management & Power Conversion.

In-house Projects

Solving Challenges through Expert Collaboration

Beyond our client-focused consulting work, Carabiner also invests time and energy into in-house projects that keep our team curious, hands-on, and connected. In these projects a dedicated team of experts, senior and junior engineers work in close relationships with our clients to solve technical challenges in the most cost effective and timely way.

At the same time these projects play a key role in strengthening our internal expertise, encouraging knowledge sharing, and sustaining a strong, collaborative engineering culture.
