Fabian joins us after previously been working at APTIV for the past years as a System Engineer and System Architect. He will join a project for Volvo Cars that focus on ADAS functions.

Can you tell us a little bit about your background?

I have worked with active safety in the automotive industry for almost 6 years. The first time in sensor-level projects where cameras and or radar were used to read the surroundings. The important was sorted out and sent as a basis for the customer’s functions such as warning the driver or braking the vehicle to avoid a collision. There after a little more focused on radar with system architecture. To now work with verification, development and functional safety of functions that use sensor data to actively avoid collisions, when the driver fails to do this himself.

What made you curious about Carabiner?

I had heard about Carabiner from former colleagues. I also think that the discussion between function availability and function security is interesting and relevant. When I then felt that it was suitable for me to try something new in my working life, Carabiner felt like a perfect match.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my spare time, I like to hang out with family and friends, where outdoor activities on playgrounds in the forest or on the beach are often on the schedule. Also does some cooking sometimes with the help of my 3.5 year old son.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Thoughtful, solution-oriented and perceptive
