We are happy to welcome Faiz to Carabiner. She started this week and have already started up on an assignment at Volvo Group Truck Technology. Faiz will together with our fellow Carabiner-Engineer Ulf Gunneflo, work on safety analysis of a critical software package for autonomous drive.

We took a couple of minutes of her time, to ask her a few questions to get to know her a bit better.

Can you tell us a little bit about your background?

My name is Faiz Ul Muram. I have a Master in Computer Science from Mälardalen University and Ph.D. in Technical Sciences from University of Vienna, Austria. For the last couple of years, I have been involved in teaching of various bachelor and master-level courses, such as Reliability in Embedded Systems, Model-based Development, and Formal Methods. Before that I have worked as a Researcher at the Technical University of Denmark and Mälardalen University. I have a keen interest in functional safety topics such as developing system safety work products, performing safety analyses and to ensure that the activities related to functional safety are performed and the objectives are met in compliance with the safety standards.

What made you curious about Carabiner?

Carabiner, has a team of highly experienced specialists working on functional safety and security. I am very interested in working together with colleagues on challenging problems, finding out the innovative solutions, and building world-class safe products.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to play tennis and soccer.  I am also fond of reading and travelling.
